January 2020 Newsletter from South Bay OBGYN

Welcome the New Year by focusing on your well being!

2020 New Year

South Bay OBGYN recommends that all women engage in self care by scheduling an annual exam.  What is an annual exam, one might ask… It is a yearly reproductive health visit with a health care provider, also known as “well-woman” visit or “gynecological exam”.

The annual exam involves checking your height, weight and blood pressure.  It may or may not include a pap smear, but gives you the opportunity to talk to your doctor about your period, birth control, STI testing and other aspects of your sexual health.

Your doctor may ask questions about your medical history and health behaviors, such as your allergies or smoking and drinking habits.  Be honest, so your provider can give you the best health care possible.
