Nancy Oropeza, MD

Dr. Nancy Oropeza grew up in a small town in central Mexico. Her entire family moved to the US when she was fourteen years old, to give her and her sister a chance at higher education.
She completed her studies, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing before she entered medical school from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. My interest to serve the Hispanic community while continuing to use my native language of Spanish, lead me to El Paso, Texas where I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Oropeza has now been with SB OBGYN for 3 years and as a native of Mexico, patients’ in the area are naturally drawn to her. She joins her significant other in San Diego who is currently doing his residency in Internal Medicine. In their free time, they enjoy hiking, walks on the beach, and discovering new restaurants in the San Diego area.

She is Da Vinci certified and uses minimally invasive robotics as her preferred surgery method. Dr. Oropeza remains Board Eligible.
