Raghu Shettigar, MD

Dr. Shettigar graduated from Medical School at New York Medical College in 1999.  He moved to Dallas, TX for his residency in OBGYN at UT Southwestern working at Parkland hospital which had the highest volume L&D department within the United states.

After completing his training, Dr. Shettigar worked in Austin, Tx at the academic program.  He built a small private practice while also serving as the OBGYN medical student clerkship director.  During this time Dr. Shettigar also worked with Family Practice graduates who were seeking fellowship training in Obstetrics and Certified Nurse Midwives.

Dr. Shettigar took part in developing an OBGYN residency in Austin which eventually became an integral part of Dell Medical school.

In 2018, Dr. Shettigar took the opportunity to join South Bay OBGYN as it was expanding it’s volume and partners bringing him into the San Diego area.  He has a balanced practice of general obstetrics and gynecology with interest in laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Shettigar is happily married with two teenage children.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing tennis, riding bikes, and practicing yoga. With his extended family are in the area, Dr. Shettigar looks forward to being of service to the community for years to come.
