Michael Thesing, MD

With 35 years of experience as an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Dr. Thesing is a dedicated husband and father committed to enhancing patient health. He is thrilled to return to South Bay Ob/Gyn, focusing on hospital-based care, with a primary emphasis on delivering babies. Over the past four years as a laborist, Dr. Thesing has refined his expertise in managing high-risk pregnancy conditions such as preterm labor, diabetes, hypertension, and preeclampsia, while supporting countless families in welcoming new life. He has had the privilege of guiding thousands of patients through healthy birthing experiences.

Outside of work, Dr. Thesing spends time with his wonderful wife of 34 years, our sons, and daughter-in-law. As an active family, we enjoy pickleball, hiking, swimming, traveling, and staycations in San Diego’s ideal climate. He looks forward to be reunited with Drs. Harder and Shettigar, Suzanne Catalano and the esteemed South Bay Ob/Gyn team to continue providing exceptional care to our patients.
