Aiwei Wang, MD

Dr. Wang

Dr. Wang is Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.  He received his medical degree and PhD from the Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Science, Beijing, China.  He has been a member of South Bay OBGYN Medical Group since 2005.

Raghu Shettigar, MD

In 2018, Dr. Shettigar took the opportunity to join South Bay OBGYN as it was expanding its volume and partners bringing him into the San Diego area.  He has a balanced practice of general obstetrics and gynecology with interest in laparoscopy and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr Ketch graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2016. There she developed a passion for women’s health and the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During her time at OU she also was selected to be a member of the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.

Nancy Oropeza, MD

Dr. Oropeza

Dr. Nancy Oropeza grew up in a small town in central Mexico. Her entire family moved to the US when she was fourteen years old, to give her and her sister a chance at higher education.
She completed her studies, including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing before she entered medical school from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. My interest to serve the Hispanic community while continuing to use my native language of Spanish, lead me to El Paso, Texas where I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Bao-Quyen Nguyen, MD

Dr. Quyen is excited to join such a highly skilled team at South Bay OBGYN and is thrilled to be able to contribute to the team her expertise in minimally invasive surgery, stress incontinence, and high-risk obstetric care such as diabetes and hypertensive disease. The aspect that drew Dr. Quyen to women’s health is connecting with women through all stages of their lives and being able to guide them through the happiest times (delivering their children) and the most confusing times (their first period or menopause). Her passion lies in empowering women to take control of their health and providing them with the tools they need to make informed decisions. She thoroughly enjoys getting to know her patients on a deeper level to be able to provide personalized care and building long-lasting relationships with her patients.

We are taking this opportunity to share with you that as of February 26, 2025, Megan Jett, NP has moved on from our practice.  We remain grateful for her years of service and wish her and her family nothing but the best in her future career.

 

Megan’s Farewell reads:

“With mixed emotions that I write to inform you that, as of February 26th, I will be leaving South Bay OB/Gyn.  This was not easy, but after careful consideration I have decided to pursue new opportunities in my career.

Rest assured that the team at South Bay OB/Gyn will continue to provide you with excellent care. I have grown close to many of the providers over the years and I know I am leaving you in very capable hands with colleagues I very much admire.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the office.

Hilary Elkins, WHNP

Hilary Elkins, WHNP

Hilary Elkins has a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.  She attended and graduated from San Diego State University in May of 2016 and established herself as a Patient Care Specialist responsible for evaluating patients undergoing fertility treatments.

Prior to advancing her education, Hilary was a Triage, Labor and Delivery RN at a local hospital where she provided the highest standard of care to patients on a level III unit that delivers over 8,000 babies a year.  She was part of the Triage Core Team who were specifically trained to triage a wide range of obstetrical and gynecologic concerns.  Hilary functioned as a charge nurse overseeing the shift nurses and OB techs during several of her assignments.

Hilary is proficient in many GYN and OB related areas. She has a special interest in birth control management and fertility.

In October 2017, Hilary joined South Bay OBGYN as a staff Nurse Practitioner and has been putting all of her acquired skills to great use.  She is able to assist the practice with IUD and Nexplanon placements and removals, Annual Well Woman Exam’s, Urinary tract and vaginal infections, breast concerns. etc.  She is a highly dedicated and caring provider.

Hilary encourages menopausal women to engage in the benefits of optimizing their aging process with the use of Hormone Replacement Therapy. Her pelleting skills are excellent and the majority of her patients are enjoying relief from their menopausal symptoms.

In her free time, Hilary enjoys spending time with her daughter and friends.
